Kayona Ebony Brown is an accomplished artist and businesswoman, having studied at the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC, the Performance Workshop Theatre Company (acting), and the Earl Graves School of Business (B.S. in Marketing) in Baltimore, Maryland.

In February 2006, she founded Brown'sTone Industries Incorporated, a burgeoning entertainment company with plans for record, television, film, and publishing divisions. The company served as the production and distribution vehicle for Brown's first novel, Tenth Letter, which was also the company's first product.

Brown's professional career has spanned the entertainment spectrum from the music industry to the literary and film industries. To this end, she has several completed works currently in pre-production, including the movie version of Tenth Letter.
